In this role you will drive exploitation of systems and technology innovations to deliver business and cost transformation aligned to platform’s and Openreach’s strategy and objectives. As a result of this you will drive the Openreach transformation vision for the OSS systems in Plan and Build area.

What you’ll be doing

Working across circa 10 different applications in the Openreach portfolio. Where you will be designing end to end systems as well Project suites in Orchestration, planning and building space.

Accountable for shaping the platforms Architectural strategy to enable Openreach to meet is goals in delivering services.

Own the Design and Architeture signoffs of solutions for the Technology Plan and Build systems

Architectural Leadership of the Plan and Build software Engineering unit

Manage stakeholder relationships, agree standards and set expectations.

Managing the ACE signoff’s for systems in the Plan & Build area

Skills and Experiences

Skills

Busines Process Management: strong skills in BPM and process automation within the Plan & Build arena, building the stratagies for change and communicating this to Business and Platform audiences .

Business acumen: Knowledgeable in Openreach’s Plan and Build business and Operational strategies.

Technical Expert: strong knowleage of the OSS systems used in the Plan and Build domain including transformation and systems design within OSS.

Experience

Mandatory Experience

Technical Expert: with at least 5 year experience of the OSS systems used in the Plan and Build domain

Safety: To ensure the health and welfare of the job holder (and his/her team if applicable) in accordance with BTs health and safety policy.

Security: To access use or disclose customer information only when needed for the job and in accordance with BTs security policy.

Competition: To understand the regulatory, fair trading and competition rules related to the job, sufficiently to be able to comply with them relying on the holder’s own knowledge or on his/her ability to recognise that they may need specialist support

Preffered Experience

Leadership: Clear evidence of ability to establish strategic vision and leadership skills within a sub platform.

Communications: Provide evidence of effective communications skills in working to and managing relationships with senior management grades to programme director level.

To ensure that the job holder (and his/her team if applicable is made aware of the need to safeguard sensitive customer information, so that customers perceive BT to be a trustworthy organisation
