ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY

POSITION: PHYSICS/PHYSICAL SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR

9 Month Contract Full-Time Position (renewable contract position)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Physics/Physical Science Instructor will teach 15 credit hours of classes

each semester. The teaching assignment will include Physical Science and

College Physics I and II. All Allen instructors are expected to be prepared to

teach in all modalities. The position is responsible for student recruitment and

advising, academic program development and division participation,

committee and task force service, and individual professional development.

Position Description

QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Science in Physics or Engineering or a Masters degree with a

minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the field is required. Experience in

college teaching is preferred.

LOCATION: Iola, Kansas Campus office location. On-campus office hours are required of

the position.

SALARY: Based on education and experience. Salary range for a Masters Degree is

\$44,437 - \$62,039. Salary range for a PhD is \$48,685-\$78,205. An excellent

benefits package is available.

STARTING DATE: August 8, 2024 (Classes begin August 19, 2024)
