West Virginia Employer Warehouse Manager in Inwood, West Virginia

Responsibilities Direct Warehouse employees work assignments to meet customer demands Coach employees for performance improvement and development purposes Work in conjunction with Production, Quality Assurance and other departments and other team members supporting warehouse requirements and production requirements to service our customer. Be able to teach and train others using the TWI method Review investigates and process incoming claims/returns via CRM Accurately maintain records of all goods received and shipments made daily, providing reports to Plant Manager, other plant team members and operations as scheduled. Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs and company policies and procedures. Monitor forklifts for repairs, ensure daily checklists are completed by appropriate employees and submitted to Maintenance for repairs. Understand SAP, metrics, and business plan that will be used on an as needed basis. Ensuring the warehouse team properly performs system transactions accurately and efficiently. Manage and complete inventory by conducting physical counts; continuous inventory, cycle counts, and physical inventories semi-annua reconciling with corporate, production, or warehouse WM when needed. Motivate staff to make an effective and efficient team. Attend and actively participate in daily high performing team meetings. Supervise and manage day to day duties of all employees in shipping and receiving department along with maintaining the scheduling of workers with vacations, PTO, leave time off. Documenting- Entering data in spreadsheets or charts for weekly, monthly, and quarterly data review and management meetings. Completing accident/incidents investigations and filling out all paperwork in conjunction with it. Implement, maintain and review safety protocols Maintain 6S efforts in Warehouse and coach warehouse employees on 6S principles Display good customer relations internally and externally Meet or exceed on time and fully deliver goals by working with Transportation personnel Operate a fork lift/camp truck to place finished goods into the proper bays in the warehouse for storage Ensure housekeeping in the Warehouse is maintained to a safe level and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such area for breaks, meal times, and end of the shift Know all safety warning signs and signals and take corrective action to include being knowledgeable of warehouse fire protection systems and procedures in the event of fire. Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree in a related field Bachelors Degree preferred Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in an inventory management role Minimum two (2) years of experience leading, coaching and supervising a team Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of a Quality Management system and SAP Knowledge of HSE and safety standards Knowledge of standard warehouse procedures in a manufacturing setting Knowledge of 6S procedures Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies Working knowledge of forklift operation & safety Ability to supervise a team within a department that operates 24 hours/day; flexible to work additional hours as needed Ability to lead, motivate and direct a high-performing team Our benefits include: Offsite Clinic Medical, Dental, Vision starting on day one!
