Express Employment Professionals of Howell/Brighton is looking for a qualified Process Engineer.
Description:
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
- Continuously make suggestions to improve processes in regards to quality and productivity and process flow.
- Develop innovative solutions.
- Run ROI calculations for new equipment, tools, changes and processes.
- Train CNC Machinist on set up of machines, tooling, fixtures, etc.

``` - Responsible for sign off on the training of the Machinists - Responsible for accuracy of matrix content - Responsible for quality and performance of programs and machining parts - Responsible for the prototype machining according to spec. - Responsible for accuracy for content of created WI - Responsible for setup processes

``` - Read and understand blueprints, manuals, GD & T - Ability to access CNC programs and make changes when necessary

``` - Documentation of process and work via work instructions, etc.

``` - Analyze data to identify root causes of defects and implement appropriate countermeasures. - Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve - Maintain all health and safety requirements (OSHA, NFPA) - Planning and improving of production process capabilities from a manufacturing perspective including ergonomics, safety, productivity and quality. - Accountable for accurate and timely data collected and provided - Specify and design machinery and processes required to support new or existing production programs incorporating safety/ergonomics.

``` - Improve current Tooling (Six Sigma/increased productivity, etc.) and test new tools. - Program new tooling or changes to part requirements due to design changes. - Run-off of new machinery - Capability studies on new and current processes. - Utilize various tools (mills, lathes, etc.) for fixture design changes or improvements for productivity and safety/ergonomics on the shop floor. - Prototype new design changes to current and old tooling for efficient productivity. - Create CAD drawings (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.) for new design changes to machinery, fixtures, etc. - Support APQP process and meet all quality system requirements related to manufacturing engineering. - Creating FMEA, Control plans together with quality. - Responsible for FMEA of product.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years' work related experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- 3-4 Years' experience creating FMEA, and Controls together with the Quality Department.
- 3-4 Years' experience supporting the APQP Process related to Manufacturing Engineering
- 8-10 years proven Engineering experience in an automotive machining manufacturer.
- Prefer Experience utilizing SAP program
- Programming Experience with Siemen's 840D CNC Machine Controller.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (ideally industrial, manufacturing or mechanical engineering) or combination of education and work experience.
