Description Robert Half is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our client! The Tax Accountant assists with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Are you a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent organization and attention to detail? Then this may be the role for you!

Your responsibilities

• Determine legal tax savings and generate ways to improve profits

• Manage outsourced tax preparation work

• Create tax solutions to incorrect tax fillings or complicated tax issues

• Accurately assemble annual and quarterly tax reports

• Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws

• Maintain the company's tax database and prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports

• Participate in educational opportunities, professional organizations, networks, and read professional publications in order to stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends

• Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations Requirements

• Skilled at time management

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Exceptional organizational skills

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• 2+ years of public or corporate tax

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting highly preferred
