Facebook is seeking an experienced Technical Solutions Lead to assist in the design and deployment of scalable and efficient tools that support all aspects of our logistics/supply chain operations. This role will be required to work closely with cross-functional teams and across boundary organizations to gather requirements, design solutions, implement new tools and processes, and provide ongoing support to these teams.

Required Skills:

  1. Partner with the business and developers to build custom in-house inventory tooling and systems for data center logistics.

  2. Design, build and test deploy, maintain and enhance tools and software solutions to support internal automation opportunities.

  3. Code using primarily C/C++, PHP, Hack, Python, ReactJS. Conduct design and code reviews. Ability to test, debug, and modify applications.

  4. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of the in-house inventory tooling and systems.

  5. Manage project initiation, deployment and post production support.

  6. Proactively and continuously look for systematic and data integrity issues across multiple systems to prioritize and fix.

  7. Work closely with developers to understand data structures, data sources and systematic processes during system development.

  8. Liaise with cross-functional teams to assist with best practices and to ensure end-to-end process and tooling consistency.

  9. Develop, build, and maintain reports and dashboards that contain actionable metrics to monitor the performance of our operations.

  10. Work with internal business groups to acquire a deep understanding of their processes and operations.

  11. Manage task queue to triage and resolve issues and engage with cross-functional teams as needed for resolution.

  12. Partner with teams to establish logistics processes to improve for data center operations focusing on scale, efficiency, and automation.

  13. Lead sessions to identify process inefficiencies, gather business requirements, partner with development teams to manage deliverables, testing and validation, roll-out and training, and triage and resolution of issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

  2. 5+ years of experience building scalable tools or systems.

  3. Experience in managing software development projects and products in a business or technical role.

  4. Experience with one or more programming languages such as C/C++, C#, ASP, VB NET, Java, Perl, Python, R.

  5. High level of proficiency with SQL and an understanding of database systems.

  6. Experience in data analytics and capable of digging into data.

  7. Experience juggling multiple projects and tasks.

  8. Experience documenting designs from both business and systems perspectives.

  9. Experience explaining technical issues to both technical and business partners.

  10. Analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrable bias toward action.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience implementing an Inventory Management system, Warehouse Management System, Asset Management system or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

  2. Supply chain or inventory management experience.

  3. Experience with system integration using web service APIs.
