Job Role and Responsibility

We are searching for a talented Senior Learning Services Product Marketing professional who is passionate about creating compelling messaging, collateral, and web experiences to join our Professional Services Marketing team.

You will be the marketing owner for our Learning Services line of business. As the marketing lead, you will own and develop the global marketing plan. You will work cross-functionally with the business leaders, certification teams, content development, delivery teams, field marketing, platform developers, e-store, and corporate marketing. You will be responsible for all of our customer-facing collateral for our Learning Services portfolio, including solution overviews , sales presentations, course catalogs, portfolio overview, Learning Paths, .com, videos, infographics, etc.

You will collaborate with the Learning Services product manager on the offering portfolio, our GTM strategy, and support the Learning transformation as VMware moves to a SaaS/subscription model. You will work with sales, the business, and field marketing to design and execute promotions and programs.

You will manage the Learning social media program including writing, editing, and soliciting blogs. You will lead the strategy for paid social and paid search working closely with our outside vendors.

You will work cross-functionally with corporate events, Learning leadership, and sales to manage the Learning team’s global activities at VMworld, including speaking sessions, certification exams, promotions, and customer activities.

This position requires the ability to interface with all levels of the organization including peers on the product marketing team, marketing management, the Learning Services leadership team, the digital experience team, field marketing, and sales teams.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years’ experience in product marketing

  • 2+ years’ experience in Education/Learning Services marketing for a technology company

  • Experience developing global marketing plans

  • Experience developing social media programs

  • Experience developing sales and customer collateral for technology education services

  • Ability and flexibility to work with global teams and global time zones

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent writing skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a technology, training, or consulting company

  • 10+ years’ experience in product marketing

  • Experience developing global marketing plans for Education/Learning services
