Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Responsible for project deliverables including plans, specifications, and estimates.

  • Strives to meet deliverable schedules.

  • Ensures that quality management procedures are in effect for respective Team’s project(s)

  • Ensures that Parsons’ safety procedures are in effect for Team’s project.

  • Provides oversight of junior staff and Team.

  • Assigns short-term and long-term responsibilities to project staff.

  • Leads project coordination and progress calls.

  • Assists PM in PM duties.

  • Strives to obtain maximum INDOT performance scores for scope, schedule, budget, and quality

Business Development

  • Supports development of pursuit pipeline and mining opportunities for the Section.

  • Supports Win Strategy and supports Proposals for a pursuit.

  • May serve as Capture Manager for a key pursuit.

  • May serve as main point of contact for project.

  • Supports business development opportunities and marketing events.

  • Serves on a committee or board for professional organizations that meet our objectives.

  • May attends key conferences for networking and brand exposure.

  • Submits abstracts to key conferences and encourages presentations from staff.

  • Identifies the needs to develop a staffing plan for projects and pursuits for Teams projects.

  • Identifies the need for new hires for the Team.

  • Assists or lead on-boarding on new staff.

  • Identifies strategic potential candidates to hire and lead recruiting efforts for these key Team hires.

  • Identifies and coordinates training needs and requests for their staff.

  • Develops career development plans with all direct reports.

  • Develops workforce forecasting to identify peaks and valleys of staffing needs for their Team.

  • Responsible for performance including recognition and disciplinary efforts for Team Staff

Direct Reports

  • May have direct and/or indirect reports

  • Team Leader reports to Section Manager and/or Department Manager

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 10+ years of related work experience.

  • Professional Engineer registration may be required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :

  • Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.

  • Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.

Salary Range:

$92,200.00 - $161,400.00
