Join Community
Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.
Make a Difference
We are looking for an RN Nurse Manager to join our team at the North Surgery Center. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients and staff. You will plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the overall clinical practices and activities necessary for daily operations. You will also participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, monitor and participate in patient care, and maintain open communication with all staff to promote performance improvement and quality care.
Additionally, you will help manage the budget, evaluate the capture of daily charges, and maintain accountability for supplies and equipment. You will also be involved in interviewing, hiring, counseling, and terminating employees.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position must be able to function in all phases of patient care as needed to maintain clinical skills and serve as a role model.
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Nursing. Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing preferred.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the State of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Two (2) years of experience in surgery, critical care, or PACU preferred.
Relevant nursing certification CAPA or CPAN is preferred.
Promotes a positive work environment to enhance employee and patient satisfaction.
Requires a high degree of responsibility, confidentiality, and discretion.
Remains calm and effective in stressful situations and takes initiative in emergency situations.
Able to prioritize, organize and multi-task.
Demonstrates strong leadership and professionalism.
Must be able to identify, intervene appropriately, and resolve problems in a timely and respectful manner. Be able to use leadership skills to promote teamwork by example.
