Patient Service Representative for a busy 8-provider family practice office at our Indianapolis branch. Experience in a medical office is preferred. This person will work directly with 1-2 other team members, indirectly with all staff of 25.

Job responsibilities daily include: Answering incoming calls, sending messages to medical assistants, scheduling appointments, checking refill lines and sending those messages to MAs, rescheduling appointments as needed, updating patient demographics including insurance, verifying insurance eligibility, filing paperwork electronically, and other office duties as assigned. Preferably someone with experience in a medical office with a good understanding of how insurance is entered into systems and verifying eligibility, and familiar with medical terms. Someone who can prioritize and understand all of the pieces that make an office work, and the ability to multitask if needed. Business casual dress. In-person interviews are preferred. No licenses or certifications are required.
