SUMMARY: The Title I Parent Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering effective communication between the school and parents, particularly those whose children are eligible for Title I services. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing parent engagement activities that support academic success and encourage meaningful parent involvement in the school community.

This is an On-Site position in Indianapolis, IN. The pay rate for this position is $35.00/Hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement programs and activities that encourage and increase parent involvement in Title I programs, ensuring parents are well-informed about their child’s educational progress and opportunities.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the school and parents, providing information on Title I services, school events, and resources available to families.

  • Plan and conduct workshops, training sessions, and informational meetings to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to support their children’s learning at home.

  • Work closely with school staff, community organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate and align parent involvement initiatives with school goals and Title I requirements.

  • Develop strategies to reach out to and engage underrepresented families, ensuring equitable access to Title I resources and programs.

  • Ensure that all parent involvement activities are in compliance with Title I regulations and guidelines, including maintaining appropriate documentation.

  • Assist in the distribution of Title I resources, such as educational materials, supplies, and information packets to parents.

  • Gather feedback from parents and report on the effectiveness of parent involvement programs, making adjustments as needed to improve engagement.

  • Organize and facilitate parent-teacher conferences, family nights, and other school events that promote parent participation in the educational process.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or a related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in a similar role or in working with Title I programs, parent engagement, or community outreach.

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.

  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of Title I regulations and best practices for parent involvement.

  • Bilingual abilities (preferred).
