Robert Half Mobile Application Developer in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Mobile Device Developer in Indianapolis, Indiana. Reporting directly to the Director of Software and Application Development, this role is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, security, and documentation of both proprietary and non-proprietary mobile applications across various platforms. The role involves aligning business processes with technology to support the organization's strategic vision

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced mobile applications using both cross-platform and native development frameworks.

  • Adapt existing web applications for mobile platforms.

  • Manage the deployment of applications to public marketplaces (e.g., Google Play, App Store).

  • Collaborate with development, design, UX, and project management teams to take concepts from ideation to final delivery.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them to enhance development efficiency.

  • Create and maintain detailed project documentation.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure the successful completion of both short-term and long-term goals.

  • Implement and maintain application security in line with industry standards.

  • Document functionality and processes using diagrams, spreadsheets, and flowcharts.

  • Attend conferences and training to maintain technical proficiency.

  • Perform additional related duties as required.

    Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Expertise in mobile app security, including authentication, encryption, and secure coding practices.

  • Proficiency in Flutter and/or React Native; familiarity with Kotlin, Java, and Swift.

  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend REST APIs.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, XML, and JavaScript frameworks is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with Git for version control.

  • Experience with platform integrations, system migrations, and application testing/debugging.
