Heritage Environmental Services, LLC Marketing Associate in Indianapolis, Indiana

Indianapolis, IN, USA | Hourly | Marketing | Full Time

Primary Purpose: Execute upon and contribute to marketing and communications strategy, elevating a unified Heritage brand through graphic design, video production, and social media.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Design highly visual and engaging content, collaborating across Heritage's businesses and departments to support a unified thought leadership and growth strategy.

  • Develop marketing collateral, signage, ad placements, and branded merchandise. Partner with graphic design and copywriting professionals.

  • Promote Heritage across social media platforms by developing engaging and relevant content to best reach a range of target audiences. Remain up to date on social media trends to apply across branded platforms. Monitor engagement across platforms and partner with marketing teammates to refine strategies based on key results and goals. Maintain company-wide social media calendar and analytics tracker.

  • Maintain in-house photography studio for employee headshots, company store, and in-person events. Schedule shoots, cull and edit photos, distribute final images.

  • Support video and photography production for relevant internal and external initiatives, tasks including script writing, pre-production management, filming, video editing, video production, and deployment.

  • Support internal and external content strategy and development. Contribute to blog post and LinkedIn article development, featuring timely and relevant information for customers and prospects. Assist in the interviews of Heritage subject matter experts and provide visual content support as needed.

  • Prepare content for the company website and store. Support ongoing improvements for usability and design.

  • Remain knowledgeable of industry news and Heritage services/offerings. Apply business knowledge to strengthen brand presence and relevancy.

  • Successful candidate must be able to travel up to 15% of the time to support key events and gather content (visiting Heritage and customer sites, for example).

Education: Bachelor's Degree required (Marketing or Graphic Design degree preferred).

Experience: Minimum three years of marketing experience required. Environmental Services industry background is preferred, but not required. Public relations or creative agency experience is strongly desired.

Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent graphic design and technical writing skills needed, demonstrated by a portfolio including relevant examples for this position. Candidate must be familiar with key applications across the Adobe Creative Cloud, with experience developing and editing content in Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign. Strong understanding of current online B2B marketing concepts, strategy and best practice is required. Candidate must also be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Ability to travel up to 15%. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
