Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician in the Agriculture Industry!

Our client, a leader in agricultural innovation, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Research and Development Department supporting the Entomology and Nematology Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Pay Range: $20/hr

What’s the Job?

• Perform routine laboratory tasks including clipping/thinning plants used in testing.

• Infest plant and artificial diet material with various insect species.

• Formulate routine assays using manual pipettes and apply specialized assays using hand sprayers and track sprayers.

• Maintain the laboratory, including cleaning and restocking.

• Grade insect assays and prepare media used in entomology testing.

What’s Needed?

• Minimum HS Diploma; degree in Biology with a focus on Entomology and/or Nematology preferred.

• Ability to stand for long periods and use chemical sprays.

• Experience working with insects, plant material, and nematodes in a laboratory setting preferred.

• Strong communication and time management skills.

• Flexibility to shift focus throughout the day to meet customer demands and the ability to follow directions and protocols.
