BUNZL Inventory Control Associate in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

The Warehouse Inventory Control position will be responsible for performing cycle counts, maintaining accurate records, monitoring inventory transactions, generating reports as needed/requested, auditing inbound and outbound shipments, and performing a variety of warehouse duties in support of all Distribution Center operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Review inventory levels by vendor, category, and/or product.

  • Assure inventory levels are maintained according to predetermined standards.

  • Assist in all cycle count programs to ensure consistency and accuracy, and research all operational problems in inventory.

  • Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure accuracy.

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all cycle counts.

  • Monitor all inventory transactions and provide required feedback to team on root cause of identified discrepancies.

  • Maintain shipping documents, as necessary.

  • Maintain Back Orders Report and address required.

  • Work efficiently with internal departments in the branch

  • Maintain overstock Excel file.

  • Palletize and stow away inventory in correct locations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED required.

  • Experience in the inventory control and auditing procedures.

  • Administrative experience including Excel, Microsoft Office experience a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: ability to handle challenging issues as they arise.

  • Forklift Experience preferred (will train in-house).

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 40-50 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift.

  • Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training).

  • Complete cycle counts and ensure consistency, accuracy, and research all operational problems in inventory.
