Planate Management Group LLC Electrical QA/QC Representative in Indianapolis, Indiana

Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies.

The QC Representative is a 1-year contract position that will provide critical power support services for the procurement and installation of 2 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Far East Detachment (NCTSFE), Diego Garcia to support high-frequency radio transmitters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Control the quality of design, material, equipment and installation

  • Conduct inspection of UPS installation, ensuring the safety of all personnel and the facility

  • Inspect electrical material deliveries

  • Perform test plan for the UPS units, system, batteries, annunciation and circuit breakers

  • Perform arc flash analysis and coordination study for the UPS system

  • Provide turnkey installation services, including all integration, installation, calibration, permitting, testing, training, manuals, safety design and as-built drawings

  • Submit Health and Safety Plan with Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), Environmental Plan, Work Plan/Schedule and design drawings

  • Prepare reports on inspections, materials, etc.

  • Check drawings and documents used for approvals and compliance with project requirements

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Expert in electrical inspection/evaluation

  • At least 5 years of quality control experience in handling electrical quality control work

  • Knowledgeable in creating safety plans with reference to EM 385-1-1

  • Must have current Corps of Engineers quality control course certification

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and other related computer software
