Job Description
Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking candidates to provide District Construction Technician services for INDOT construction projects in Indiana, in the Crawfordsville and Greenfield districts. This position offers great benefits for someone who is looking for full time work.

Position Profile
This position will be responsible for materials testing and maintaining documentation of site development for INDOT and other transportation projects.
A Day in the Life of a District Construction Technician at Hanson
Here’s a snapshot of what you would do in this role:
Represent owner in monitoring construction activities for compliance with plans and specifications.
Coordinate and/or conduct onsite construction materials testing.
Coordinate and communicate field construction activities with the supervisors and contractors
Perform computer-based data entry via SiteManager and Microsoft Office software
What We’re Looking For
We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role:
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of INDOT District Construction Technician experience
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift over 50lbs
INDOT Certified Technician Program 6 Certifications or equivalent (BS in Civil Eng. Or struction management)
INDOT SiteManager Certified
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the minimum qualifications above the following will result in a more competitive candidate:
INDOT Storm Water Management Certified
Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
Department of Transportation project experience and familiarity with the respective agency documentation and material testing certifications
Candidates must be able to work as a team member as well as independently, have the desire to learn new skills, be self-motivated, and possess good interpersonal communication skills.
Working at Hanson:
This position has a periodic and variable project work schedule. Hours vary based on project demands including potential required overtime. Compensation is provided for overtime.
