Robert Half Communications Coordinator in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Communiations Coordinator to join our non-profit organization located in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana. As a Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including social media management, member communications, website updates, and assisting with the Member Newsletter. This role provides an opportunity for those seeking to transition from a temporary to a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and update social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and YouTube.

• Facilitate member communications through various channels.

• Maintain and update our organizational website.

• Copy-edit articles for spelling, grammar, and style guidelines, and clarify any points of confusion with authors.

• Format text and graphics in InDesign for Member Newsletter.

• Handle new subscriptions and subscription renewals

• Maintain a spreadsheet for tracking orders and place advertisements in InDesign.

• Design promotional materials such as flyers

• Provide staff support at meetings and teleconferences, record, transcribe, and distribute meeting minutes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within a non-profit organization

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Experience with management systems and data entry

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, including C-Suite

• Proficient in handling correspondence and copy editing

• Familiarity with social media platforms and website updates

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
