Description

We are inviting applications for a Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role primarily focuses on managing routine bookkeeping tasks and overseeing project workflows to ensure efficient and timely delivery of client services. It involves light accounting duties, client communication, and ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are met.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate financial records for clients, including reconciliations and journal entries.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for review by senior accountants and CPAs.

• Comply with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Manage the workflow of accounting projects and tasks across various clients.

• Track deadlines for client deliverables, such as financial reports, tax filings, and audits.

• Communicate with clients to keep them informed of project progress and any required documentation.

• Allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

• Serve as a liaison between clients and the CPA firm, addressing any questions or concerns related to their financial records or services.

• Assist clients in using accounting software or tools as needed.

• Onboard new clients, ensuring all financial information is accurately set up.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for financial data management

• Experience in performing month-end close procedures

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors

• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
