Matchbook Learning Bilingual Instructional Aide in Indianapolis, Indiana
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bilingual Instructional Aide to join The Match High School and Career Center. The ideal candidate will support our educational programs by assisting teachers in providing instruction to students who speak English as a second language. The Bilingual Instructional Aide will help ensure that all students have access to quality education and support in a bilingual setting at Match High School and Career Center.
Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in delivering instruction to students who speak English as a second language.
Provide support to students in understanding and completing assignments.
Help translate instructions, materials, and communication between teachers, students, and parents as needed.
Work with students individually or in small groups to provide additional support.
Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional strategies that meet the needs of bilingual students.
Help monitor student progress and communicate with teachers about student performance.
Assist in maintaining classroom organization and cleanliness.
Requirements:
Fluency in English and able to speak Spanish
Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs of students.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related field is a plus.
