About the role

The Associate Project Manager Director is responsible for project management services within an assigned client account to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. Key project delivery focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the performance, development, and retention of Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers within your team.

  • Promote and maintain an environment consistent with CBRE values including Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.

  • Ensure your team develops, executes, and delivers a project portfolio that consistently meets established key performance indicators for the client account, while following both CBRE and client policies and procedures.

  • Regularly provide project portfolio updates and reports to the Director of Project Management as it relates to project budget, schedule, risk, and safety metrics.

  • Direct management of high complexity / high risk projects within your assigned project portfolio.

  • Ensure direct, indirect, and outsourced service providers and vendors provide consistent, high-quality services.

  • Ensure team compliance with corporate and local standards and procedures.

  • Manage and foster balanced relationships with external consultants and vendors while holding them accountable in delivering their scope of work in a timely and consistent fashion.

  • Support CBRE initiatives by participating on steering committees as the need arises. Additionally, ensure smooth transition of initiatives into your team.

  • Ensure all projects delivered by your assigned work group follow local playbook standards and norms.

  • Build effective and persuasive presentations on challenging topics to employees, clients, and senior leadership.

  • Tackle advanced problems resulting from complicated situations.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

  • No less than 5 years of solid experience in project management.

  • Previous experience in a leadership role considered a plus, although not required.

  • PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred

  • A solid understanding of financial analysis, project management, construction, ethical practices, business operations, marketing, and business development.
