Cardinal Health Accounting Supervisor in Indianapolis, Indiana

Ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Columbus Ohio area with the ability to work a hybrid schedule. Also open to remote candidates in the states surrounding Ohio.

What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health

Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.

Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly/quarterly close responsibilities related to: preparation and recording of complex journal entries, reserve/accrual adjustments, balance sheet reconciliation including GR/IR, financial statement review, balance sheet analytics, and other close activities

  • Review and monitor material intercompany P&L activity and transactions across domestic and foreign entities and assist in the research of intercompany out-of-balances

  • Performs special projects and financial analysis to support the business needs as requested

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

  • Providing internal business partners with accurate documentation, analysis and education to support decision making

  • Provide internal and external audit support

  • Responsible for the effective operations of key controls

  • Support various ad-hoc projects

  • Strategically and effectively identify process improvement opportunities

  • Assist in the understanding of new intercompany lane transaction flows and settlement processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • 4+ years accounting experience in related field, preferred.

  • CPA preferred

Anticipated salary range: $79,700 - $113,800
