Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Digital Operations Development Manager to be responsible for leading a team of full-time and contract back end, front end and mobile application developers throughout all stages of the application lifecycle focused on web/eCommerce operations, mobile app operations and our Digital A/B program.
Directly supporting our digital products and services across consumer-facing web, mobile, mobile app, and e-commerce; the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will leverage a strong full stack web and mobile development background, and will lead a team of developers that will design and develop web and mobile architectures that harness cutting-edge technologies like React (JavaScript), Microsoft .NET, C#, and RESTful APIs to build high-performance, scalable applications. They will design and deliver next-gen functionality powered by Microservices and integrate with leading CMS platforms like Sitecore and Contentstack. Ultimately, the ideal Digital Operations Development Manager will have strong leadership qualities, be able to provide guidance and support to developers and business stakeholders, develop a strong partnership with the other Senior Managers. The Digital Operations Development Manager reports directly to the Sr Director of Digital Technology within the Guest Experience Technology IT team.

Job Responsibilities:
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
Team Oversight: Manage a team of 4-6 full-time and contract back end, front end and mobile application developers supporting our web and mobile applications operations tracks of work as well as Digital A/B program.
Team Development: Takes ownership of team’s development by understanding individual aspirations and development areas; coaching employees on their development plans.
Technical Architecture: Responsible for planning and executing technical solutions that are scalable, maintainable, modern, and of high quality. Ensuring solutions align with the technical architecture and content management system.
Hiring and Onboarding: Responsible for hiring full-time full stack web and mobile app developers and contractors. Identifies high quality talent and places individuals in the right roles.
Operations Support: Ensure high availability and reliability for the eCommerce and mobile application platforms, with a focus on uptime, scalability and performance. Implement robust monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure rapid detection and resolution of incidents. Manage and improve incident response process, including root cause analysis and port-mortem reviews
Code Reviews: Ensure developers are following best practices, development standards, and delivering high quality solutions with minimal bugs.
Resource Planning: Working with project managers to assign the right person to each project and adjusting resources accordingly as project needs change.
Connections: Inspire trust and build strong relationships across locations, functions, business units, and levels across the enterprise.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
7+ Years of web and mobile application development experience
2+ Years of development management experience
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk) and incident management platforms
Guide operations development team to maintain and enhance existing applications, including our React Native mobile app and supporting technologies including RESTful services running in Docker containers, Azure functions, MuleSoft, and a headless CMS (Contentstack).
Guide operations development team Maintain and implement new features for our 42 e-commerce websites using C#, React.JS, and Sitecore CMS, integrating multiple internal systems and third-party APIs in the process.
Solid understanding of the web and mobile application lifecycle.
Technical curiosity and willingness to explore beyond your experience
You understand the software development process and the tools that are typically used, and care not only about the code that is written but also the process by which we get there.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize and manage own time, multi-task and switch contexts
Must be able to communicate written and verbally with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience integrating with server-side rendering solutions and content management systems
Good understanding of SEO and ADA principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
Proficient understanding of secure coding practices including OWASP Top 10
Preferred:
Experience building mobile apps for both android and iOS using React Native
Experience writing code for PCI compliance
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps in an Agile environment
Experience with designing and delivering A/B programs for eCommerce sites
Familiarity with security practices in DevOps (DevSecOps)
Experience in establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with automated testing, containerization, and version control best practices.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $134,706 - $150,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
