Work Days and Expected Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Credit Risk Review serves to independently monitor credit quality and assess the effectiveness of credit risk management to provide the Directorate and executive management with objective oversight of all corporate lending credit related activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides an independent analysis of credit quality, credit administration management, processes and controls of lending and credit risk management functions, corporate management and lending unit management.

May perform the responsibilities of a Team Leader during all Credit Risk Reviews and Process Reviews. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: planning, informing management of the pending review, assigning Credits to the staff, reviewing and signing-off on the completed Credit Risk reviews, compiling the results of the review, planning exit meetings, communicating results to appropriate management and drafting the review reports.

Performs reviews that include the bank's most complex commercial loans/borrowers to ensure compliance with established policies and underwriting guidelines.

Directs independent Consumer reviews to address adherence to Fannie Mae (FNMA) FHA, VA, etc standards are met for the Consumer bank.

Evaluates the quality of these commercial/Consumer Credits/borrowers and verifies that the appropriate risk rating was assigned indicating financial strength and probability of loan repayment.

Examines all areas where credit risk is managed or monitored.

Evaluates credit risk issues involving non-traditional credit risk activities, corporate divisions and vendors, as appropriate.

Communicates recommendations and credit risk management processes to corporate and lending unit management that strengthens the organization, enhances overall supervision of lending methods and provides tools to continually measure effectiveness.

May perform assistant supervisory duties in the Credit Risk Review area, on an as needed basis, in the absence of the Credit Review Review Manager.

Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Highly motivated to work independently. Possesses the ability to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the organization.

Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 50% of the day and operates office equipment 5% of the day. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions

Education

Requires a four-year college degree or equivalent. Preferred major or area of specialization in Accounting, Math, or Business. Loan review certification required, and formal credit training preferred.

Experience

Requires five to ten years specialized training is preferred, specifically eight years of commercial loan review experience or an equivalent combination of credit analysis and commercial loan review experience.

Salary Range:

$55,000.00 - $136,000.00
