Key Responsibilities:

• Will be working in the field or at customer premises as a resident engineer

• Study and develop understanding of customer network design and Network Elements deployed.

• Engage in the day-to-day activities of the customer related to network/optical products and in scope services.

• Support Customer NOC team on provisioning of Critical services and fast TAT in service fulfilment.

• Proactively monitor customer network for any potential issue and take corrective actions with the help of TAC

• Carry out routine network health check on defined frequency of daily, weekly and Monthly basis as per the role demands. Highlight issues found and work with customer and internal teams to address these issues.

• Support backend TAC team by providing logs and other critical information for fast resolution of customer reported issues. Follow up with TAC for RCA of critical issues.

• Support Customer team on software upgrades and subsequent testing

• Maintain latest network inventory and network topology

• Educate Customer NOC teams on best practices

• Support NOC team on end to end testing and handover of critical circuits.

• Support Critical changes in network though change management process

• Respond to routine customer queries by taking support from backend teams as applicable

• Develop understanding on skill sets gap of NOC team and Provide on job training to enhance skills of NOC engineers

• Candidate may have to work in night shifts for planned events and travelling will be involved on need basis.

• This resource will be SME (Subject Matter Expert), on need basis to fix field issues, traveling will be required.

• Candidate also needs to co-ordinate with internal teams to understand business requirement

• Should have strong understanding of IP fundamentals, VLAN, Routing (ISIS,OSPF BGP); SDH, DWDM, OTN and Optical transport network deployment understanding.

• Understanding of MPLS (LDP/RSVP), VPN (L2, L3 VRF) and QoS will be preferred.; Optical transport Network Element deployment and commissioning, Nodal AT, Link AT, Network AT and Fault Isolation.

• Should have hands on configuration experience and Operation knowledge of routers and switches in carrier network; Optical Transport Network Elements in carrier network.

• Experience on Mobile Backhaul and Carrier Ethernet Network will be added advantage.

• Should have good technical documentation skill

• Working experience on any of the projects like EPT (Packet), GPON (Fttx), NLD (Core and Collector), Metro, Submarine, MPLS, MPBN, CEN, RNC and MSAN will be preferred.
