Description We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Accountant, based in Independence, Ohio. The position involves managing the daily accounting functions, leading the coordination of external audits, and developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll

• Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Prepare and review financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations

• Lead the coordination of external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided and any issues are promptly addressed

• Analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement

• Implement corrective actions as necessary to improve accounting operations

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Accountant.

• Thorough knowledge and experience in Account Reconciliation is mandatory.

• Proficiency in handling General Ledger is required.

• Experience in Month End Close activities is necessary.

• Working knowledge of SAP is needed.

• Previous experience in conducting Annual Physical Inventory is a plus.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• The ability to work independently or as part of a team is necessary.

• Must be detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

• The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is required.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be advantageous.

• CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it is preferred.

• Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles is essential.

• Experience in financial reporting and tax preparation is a plus.
