Title: Director, Cloud Engineering Location: United States; Remote, EST or CST (hybrid if local to Cleveland, OH or Atlanta, GA) Experience: Director Level Job Function: Cloud Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Computer and Network Security About the position Keyfactor offers products and solutions designed to meet the unique certificate lifecycle management challenges of the commercial enterprises we serve. As the Director, Cloud Engineering, you'll play a key role in the strategic development and execution of the technical roadmap, guiding a team of Cloud Engineers to foster the operational excellence of Keyfactor solutions hosted in the cloud. Because Customers are Core, everything that this position does should be focused on improving the customer experience. Your leadership will be responsible for ensuring platform and product availability to meet contractual SLAs, optimizing hosted platform performance, and enforcing security compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, etc.). Responsibilities Lead the strategy and execution of a comprehensive cloud design produced by Keyfactor Cloud Architecture, ensuring resilient, secure, and efficient cloud solutions. Develop platform engineering initiatives to design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure platforms that support Keyfactor operational and strategic objectives. Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration between operational teams, customer success, and product/engineering teams to deliver projects that align with strategic goals. Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of cloud resources, focusing on performance, cost management, and security. Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms for cloud health, performance, and costs, making recommendations for enhancements to executive leadership. Recruit and build a diverse, capable, and cohesive engineering team. Foster an environment of continuous improvement, staying ahead of industry trends and evolving customer needs to recommend and implement changes in cloud technologies. Facilitate customer-facing technology and design discussions to support new business opportunities and support existing customer questions and concerns to incorporate feedback into strategy. Collaborate with the Keyfactor Compliance Team to provide technical evidence gathering for a range of compliance controls including SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171. Provide technical guidance to an on-call team offering 24 X 365 support for critical infrastructure. Skills and Qualifications Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, with a focus on developing skills and capabilities in cloud technologies.
