Program Summary

KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction.

KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.

Job Summary

Incirlik Air Base Plumber/Laborer repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains water and sewer systems to include lawn irrigation, valves, fire hydrants, fittings, pumps, and related equipment associated with water and sewer main systems. Installs/replaces pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures associated with internal building water and sewer plumbing systems. Repairs/installs showers, tubs, commodes, urinals, and associated equipment. Installs/maintains/repairs backflow devices. Subject to perform emergency call back work and to perform duties on non-normal duty periods or different shifts. Performs duties as laborer, driver, and other duties as required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains water and sewer systems to include lawn irrigation, valves, fire hydrants, fittings, pumps, and related equipment associated with water and sewer main systems.

  • Installs/replaces pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures associated with internal building water and sewer plumbing systems.

  • Repairs/installs showers, tubs, commodes, urinals, and associated equipment.

  • Installs/maintains/repairs backflow devices.

  • Subject to perform emergency call back work and to perform duties on non-normal duty periods or different shifts.

  • Performs duties as laborer, driver, and other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Be a Turkish Citizen.

  • Capable to speak, read, and understand the English Language at a minimum level 2.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license (minimum “B” Class).

  • Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.

  • Eligible to acquire a Turkish security clearance.

  • Technical High School graduate/two-year University Graduate (must possess diploma), Department of Plumbing.

  • Physical requirements include being able to lift 23 kilos, climbing, extended sitting or standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying and working in normal and adverse weather conditions due to work requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in operating a Government Vehicle.

  • General hand and power tools associated with Plumbing.

  • Proven ability in customer communication and relationship building.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn on the job.
