United Performance Metals is seeking an energetic and driven leader to join our 2nd shift team in Northbrook, IL as a Warehouse Shift Lead. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Starting Wage: $27 - $30, depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 1pm - 10:30pm AND Friday 2pm - 6pm

Location: Northbrook, IL - On-site

Eligible for $1,500 sign on bonus after 90-days

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Overall Responsibility of assigned warehouse operations including but not limited to Safety, Housekeeping. 5S, Lean, On Time Customer Delivery, Production Efficiency and Effectivity, Cost Control, Inventory Accuracy, Shipping, Receiving, Employee Development and Compliance.

  • Provide and monitor all required training for assigned employees including new employee 90 day training as assessment.

  • Support and maintain a culture of Safety Awareness while enforcing company safety policies and procedures though total accountability at every level of the organization.

  • Accountability for all aspects OSHA & EPA compliance related to warehouse operations.

  • Ensure daily production/shipment schedules are executed and achieved in an efficient manner.

  • Proactively identify capacity constraints/bottleneck areas when schedules will not be met.

  • Ensure daily cycle-counts are completed, Responsible for inventory accuracy in regards to heat lot traceability, quantity counts and locations accuracy.

  • Fully support and enforce compliance with all ISO requirements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE FOR SUCCESS:

  • At least1 year previous warehouse experience

  • Previous leadership experience

  • Strong communication (both oral and written) with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficient use of computer skills

  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to perform in an environment fostering teamwork and results.
