Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Hot Fuel Examination Facility (HFEF) Mission Support Supervisor to work at our Materials and Fuel Complex (MFC) . Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our MFC facility with every Friday off.

The Materials and Fuel Complex (MFC) at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is looking for a Hot Fuel Examination Facility (HFEF) Mission Support Supervisor, and you will report to the HFEF Nuclear Facility Manager (NFM). If you want to be part of ensuring nuclear energy research and development, including deployment of next-generation nuclear reactors then this position is for you.

The Hot Fuel Examination Facility (HFEF) Mission Support Supervisor is directly responsible for leading and independently completing a variety of tasks across HFEF.

Responsibilities Include:

Strategic planning of all division budgets, providing updates to leadership, and maintaining budgets to hit assigned budget targets.

Responsible for all facility projects from conception to completion ensuring project activities are completed within budget and scope.

Oversee process and facility improvements maintaining compliance and implementation of permits/DSA.

Provide daily leadership to the cask crew to ensure excellence when performing tasks and material movement.

Work with program integration and maintenance to ensure resources are available to balance needs between program, maintenance, and operational activities.

As an advisor to the HFEF Nuclear Facility Manager, provide recommendations and input for successful departmental implementation of activities to achieve mission outcomes.

Perform line management responsibilities for direct reports including hiring, performance recognition and management, succession planning and professional development.

Provide communication and coordination with all support organizations addressing nuclear facility issues.

Communicate and execute the MFC management model including the vision for successful nuclear facility operations, mission accomplishments and improvement agendas.

Qualify and maintain the Nuclear Facility Manager Qualification, if requested. While performing role as NFM, responsible for nuclear safety management within high risk / high complexity mission-critical facilities.

Will manage the implementation of safety basis requirements and performance of activities within approved Authorization Agreement.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and five years relevant experience in a nuclear, industrial, commercial environment.

A combination of 13 years education and experience for this position is acceptable.

A min of 5 years in a group lead or supervisor experience is required.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Special Requirements:

• Complete and maintain supervisory skills training, comprehensive written examination, facility walk through exams and oral boards.

  • The pay range for this position is $89,652 $215,160 . At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience , and other credentials.

  • TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
