Schows Truck Center, Idaho Falls, ID, is hiring a full time Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team.

\ ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Other duties may be assigned:\ -Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.\ -Diagnoses cause of most malfunctions and performs repair; reports defects or malfunctions to manager.\ -Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.\ -Communicates with service manager immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.\ -Ensures that customers\' vehicles are kept clean.\ -Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.\ -Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.\ -Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.\ -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\ -Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.\ -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

\ PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\ -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.\ -The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.

\ WORK ENVIRONMENT:\ -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.\ -The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and vibration.\ -The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

\ QUALIFICATION:\ -Diesel certification.\ -Five (5) years of experience.

\ WAGE:\ -Pay based on years of experience.
