GuideOne Insurance Solution Architect - Hybrid or On site Opportunity in IA, United States
As the Solution Architect - Guidewire, you will support the Enterprise Architects in software and hardware matters in all things related to our core Insurance Suite – Guidewire. You will be responsible for understanding internal and external customer needs, and designing systems that allow customers to implement systems for their technology business applications. As the Solutions Architect, you may present and translate the design to customers to ensure design will meet customer needs.
In this position, you will work closely with architectural leadership in developing solutions and proposals that align with business needs. As a technical expert, you will often provide guidance and makes decisions on changes required throughout the design process. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. To be successful in this role, you will exercise a certain amount of independent judgment.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for software development and research, hardware evaluation and infrastructure connectivity assessment. Organizes the development effort of a systems solution in conjunction with architectural leadership. Helps develop the overall vision that underlies the projected solution and helps transform that vision into a tangible solution.
Conducts system modeling, analysis and planning to implement new solutions to meet business needs.
Develops program logic, file structures and access methods to implement approved computer programming requests.
May lead and direct the work of others in regards to technical matters when working on projects, etc.
Performs other related work as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years’ software development and analysis experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related field preferred.
Knowledge of operational excellence and adherence to SLAs and metrics for incidents and requests.
Experience in agile methodologies preferred.
Five (5+) years’ experience in Large Scale Enterprise Development.
Knowledge of Data, including system integration experience a plus.
