About the role

Looking for a Linux kernel team lead for our global team who posses problem solving skills, strong Business Ethics, Excellent communication, Customer Orientation, Focus on Results, Agility, Analytical Abilities, Innovation, Business Judgment, Forward Thinking, Listening and Teamwork.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Expert in in C/C++ Programming and embedded systems design on Linux-based platforms.

  • Expert in Linux kernel and user space subsystems e.g. networking, storage ( file system ), memory management, device drivers ( Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BT ) & kernel configuration.

  • Knowledge of bootloaders like uboot, etc.

  • Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems

  • Good understanding of multicore embedded system.

  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on security, reliability, and performance.

  • Strong debugging skills at driver and middleware level

  • Able to understand Yocto or ubuntu core Linux distribution,

  • Able to write professional Functional Specs and Design Documents and able to communicate with stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members for execution of programs using SDLC models.

  • Able to work closely with Project and Engineering Managers to achieve the project targets in terms of content, quality, time and cost.

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash).

  • Work in an AGILE development environment.

  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools, and peer review

  • Drive Innovations in the team.

  • Understand/Perform regular patching and updates of Linux operating systems, including kernel updates, security patches, and software updates.

  • Knowledge of serial protocols like RS485/232

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues effectively.

  • Experience with interface protocols (e.g., USB, SPI, I2C, UART, UFS, PCIe), power management, system integration, Software stacks, Drivers.
