Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages business operations performance and supplies hardware to the data centers. Well-defined and executed supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. Within the CMOF organization, the Readiness Engineering & Sovereign (RE&S) organization plays a key role in the pre-dock readiness and First Footprint execution across GPU, Compute, Storage, as well as end-to-end Sovereign execution across CSCP. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager for our Deployment Readiness Engineering team. A well-defined and executed supply chain ensures reliable performance, optimized cost, manages unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base. With a technical program management and process improvement mindset, this role is 80% focused on managing deployment execution and 20% on Design for Excellence improvements and data analysis driving operational efficiency and optimized service delivery. Responsibilities

In this role, you will be working on key projects and business initiatives. The primary focus will be on process improvements leading operational excellence. Lead virtual teams to deliver infrastructure predictably based on our customer needs.  Create methods and processes to collect critical data about deployments, progress, and dependencies.  Partner with the Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities that will increase the capability to deliver against critical milestones for deployments.  Partner upstream with the Capacity Planning and our internal Capacity Management teams.  Partner with Planning teams to understand the demand and challenges of deployments to anticipate and solve.  Develop an understanding of hardware types being deployed and work with the supply chain organization to resolve issues.  Partner with process and reporting teams to develop actionable dashboards that will help drive daily and weekly triage of blockers.  Own metrics and analytics which show the performance against goals.  Conduct regular restrospective and data driven analysis to target refined metrics. Be proactive in identifying continuous improvement areas.  Identify program and process improvements to help deliver better predictability across all cloud offerings.  Exceptional written communication and presentation skills.  Provide Engineering teams with business capabilities/use cases/scenarios to articulate clear business requirements, aligned to our vision.  Build & maintain strong and collaborative relationships and trusted partnerships across the Azure landscape

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings.

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience with data analysis/presentation, SQL and Power BI or equivalent skills and knowledge Demonstrated technical problem solving and excellent analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail Comfortable in executive presentations and communications Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with rapidly changing requirements Understanding of process engineering and optimization, including gathering, analyzing, and defining business and functional requirements; creating global metrics, trend charts and other decision-making tools.

  • Proven track record of partnering with software engineering teams to drive improvements in tooling and automation Understanding of process engineering and optimization, including gathering, analyzing, and defining business and functional requirements.

  • creating global metrics, trend charts and other decision-making tools Knowledge of Supply Chain principles - Planning, Sourcing and Delivering Six sigma experience a plus Prior experience with typical data management systems and tools such as SQL. Excellent analytical skills.

  • ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions, including analysis specifications and models. Proficiency in data analytics - Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment. Automation experience is a plus.
