YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

  • Deliver and maintain high-quality large-scale applications on SaaS/PaaS that adhere to ever increasing demands of availability, reliability, security and performance that enable an optimal consumer experience as a strong individual contributor and/or mentor.

  • Contribute to development in you core skill area as a major and two or more complementing skills e.g. Cloud SRE and CI/CD, IaC, Observability, etc.

  • Learn and use technologies based on project and work need.

  • Design beyond scope if necessary to build right solution.

  • Exhibit outside-in & design-based thinking to identify critical customer needs beyond scope of requirements.

  • Consult with internal & external stakeholders to gather understanding of Infra, domain, customer & strategic requirements.

  • Define features to stories and effectively translate into SW design, recognizing where gaps in understanding exist that can impact building of code.

  • Participate in design reviews/code walkthroughs with developers and architects to ensure testability/supportability of software.

  • Identify and highlight gaps in team expertise.

  • Participate in discussions with customer and/or product teams to ensure products add value & meet customer needs.

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to take ownership and drive effective technical solutions.

  • Be a problem solver in the team.

YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Total 8+ years of software development experience developing and designing software applications using Java out of which, minimum 3 years should be in Site Reliability Engineering.

  • Extensive experience with cloud migrations, CI/CD, IaC, Observability and monitoring, HA/DR, etc.

  • Prior experience of setting up SaaS environments from scratch including pipelines, swim-lanes and observability tools.

  • Exposure to incident management system and it’s definition will be a plus.

  • Working experience on Azure or GCP.

  • Experience in software estimation, planning and risk assessment process and establish technical vision.

  • Ability to analyze user and business requirements to create technical design requirements and software architecture.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies/methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical co-workers.

  • Everything required to become a young, dynamic professional with paramount energy.

  • Strong desire to continually learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies, including those out of your comfort zone.

  • Your own views and do not hesitate to speak about those.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on diverse problems, under minimal supervision, with guidance from senior team members. You know how to balance multiple projects (with varying priorities, of course!) all at once.

  • Been seen as a solid professional who can own and deliver by leading a small to medium size team.

  • Been perceived as a go-to person to troubleshoot problems.

  • Experience of working on various technologies

  • Proven track record of participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

  • Ability to guide/mentor others in the team.

  • Ability to own team’s problem and ensure resolution.

  • Ability to be seen as a problem solver.

  • Ability to design and build a software independently, including choice of technology.

  • Ability to ask challenging questions and encourage dialogue to stimulate innovative thinking in others.
