Oracle Sr Principal Software Developer in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

We are an engineering team specifically focused on the Performance, Scalability, and Reliability (PSR) aspects of Oracle Saas,PaaS. Our goal is to achieve highest levels of performance, scalability, reliability, high-availability and serviceability for Oracle’s product lines. Our focus is spread across all products in Oracle Cloud. The teams in the above mentioned areas cover the following aspects:

Performance Analysis and Optimizations

Sizing

Benchmarking

HA

Working on Autonomous Database and optimizing SaaS for ADB uptake

3rd tier Customer Escalations

Responsibilities

Improve the performance and scalability of Fusion platform components and Fusion Applications.

Test, debug, and measure the performance of the implemented features; identify the performance and scalability bottlenecks using the relevant profiling tools.

Develop optimizations to improve performance and scalability.

Stay current with programming/debugging techniques and relevant development environments

Mentor junior team members on analysis, optimization techniques, system tuning, etc

Basic Requirements

10-15 years industry experience + BS in Engineering or Science

Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality results

Attention to details and excellent analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

Role Description and Technical Expertise

This role is to measure, analyze and optimize performance in Oracle’s Fusion Applications and Middleware stack. Candidates should have strong analytical skills and expertise in

Database

DBA background with exposure to performance

Application/SQL Performance Tuning

Exadata and RAC experience

Trace Analyis

Indepth Optimizer knowledge

Pl/sql Programming Exposure

Be able to demonstrate understanding of PL/SQL Language Syntax

Provide a detailed description of the syntax for a PL/SQL method declaration including exception handling

Cloud Infra

Exposure to any Cloud Infra, OCI knowledge is desirable

Detailed Description and Job Requirements - Internal

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 years of software engineering or related experience
