We are the Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization. We deliver updates to every Windows-based device in the world to protect users and enable them to be productive. While Security remains our primary focus, we also enable our commercial and enterprise customers by enabling new device support, addressing reliability and upgrade blocking issues. Our work is critical for the Windows family of devices, SurfaceHub, Azure and more. We are an agile team and ship twice every month, impacting over a billion Windows devices in the ecosystem. You will collaborate with your teammates in IDC, and your partner teams in Ireland and Redmond, Washington, USA.
Our Customer Focused Engineering (CFE) team is looking for highly motivated Software Engineer II to help us in this mission. You will play a key role in development and implementation of Known Issue Rollbacks and various Containment strategies. You will be responsible for keeping our customer base secure, improving the reliability of the platform, addressing customer reported issues, building data insights, and developing features to light up new scenarios and devices in the Windows ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Develop features to support the enterprise and security scenarios in Windows.
Reproducing, debugging and fixing customer-reported problems.
Crafting high-quality, bug-freefixes with minimum application compatibility risk.
Adding new features in Windows.
Prioritizing your collection of work and delivering fixes in a timely fashion to meet deadlines.
Collaborating with escalation engineers and other partner teams across Microsoft to debug, develop, test and ship updates.
Finding ways to improve products, tools, and processes for long-term benefitfor Microsoft and customers.
Mentoring junior engineers in the team
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++.
4+ years of professional software development experience.
Ability to understand unfamiliar code bases, and debug server-side, multi-threaded, and highly scalable applications.
Experience in working with Windows system level programming is desirable.
Proven design and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on quality and engineering excellence.
Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated results working with a global team.
Overall understanding of Azure/Cloud infrastructure is desirable.
Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
The ability to work well in a diverse, global, team-focused environment
