The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our organization to develop Supply Chain platform solutions that power Cloud and Devices supply chains for Microsoft. We are building solutions that give Microsoft the ability to succeed in an ever-changing business environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an SAP ecosystem that fulfils the company's business requirements, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.

• Understand integrated business processes within the SAP module, including interactions with extended business systems.

• Design and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions

• Adhere to and drive sound software engineering practices through design reviews, system design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, leveraging data / telemetry to make decisions.

• Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.

• Applies coding patterns and best practices.

• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines of the project team.

• Identify new opportunities to help meet our customers’ needs.

• Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering highly Scalable, Observable, and Secure software products. Proficient in ABAP on ECC, HANA and S/4HANA Implementation or SoH (Suit on Hana) experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering highly Scalable, Observable, and Secure software products.

• Proficient in ABAP on ECC, HANA and S/4HANA Implementation or SoH (Suit on Hana) experience.

• Strong experience with ABAP application development language, AMPD procedures, CDS views and Object-Oriented Development (OO)

• Experience in Gateway, and SICF services with OData and API management.

• Experience in Side-by-Side extensions on SAP BTP using RAP/CAP programming models.

• Experience in building microservices, and event-driven architecture solutioning.

• Strong at Design, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on quality and engineering excellence. 

• Basic knowledge in SAP MM and SD modules

• Experience developing extension of cloud applications on SAP BTP

• Knowledge in developing solutions in Microsoft Azure Platform is a plus, exposure to App services, Azure Synapse, Event hub, Log Analytics, Azure AD, Application Insights, etc.

• Optional - Exposure to AI/ML/GPT
