Oracle Software Development Manager in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

Oracle Infrastructure Global Business Unit is looking for a hands-on technical development manager to lead the development and enhancement of cloud based Oracle Utilities Application Framework on which various Oracle Energy and Water applications like Customer Case and Billing (CCB), Work and Asset Management (WAM) and Meter Data Management Solutions (MDM) are built.

You should be hand-on and comfortable to deep dive into technology and will be responsible for design, code reviews, debugging and suggesting improvements to the existing cloud enabled platform architecture. You will work in an Agile environment to ensure that the team is delivering the right product at the right time. This role involves managing a team of cloud engineers, overseeing cloud operations, and driving automation initiatives to enhance efficiency. The Cloud Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with development, security, and customer success teams to ensure high availability, cost-effectiveness, and quick incident resolution. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for long-term strategic planning, capacity management, and ensuring our infrastructure can scale to meet growing customer demand.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include :-

Cloud Platform Development and Maintenance: Oversee the design, implementation, and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud features.

  1. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers, providing guidance on cloud architecture, operations, and automation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, skill development, and collaboration within the team.

  2. Performance Optimization: Drive initiatives to enhance system performance, including load balancing, monitoring, scaling, and fine-tuning cloud systems.

  3. Incident Management & Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement robust incident management protocols to minimize downtime and improve response times.

  4. Cloud Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to implement encryption, identity management, and secure access controls.

  5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with customer success and support teams to address customer cloud performance or scalability issues.

  6. Innovation & Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and deployment processes.

Preferred Qualifications include: -

  • Deep understanding of Generic Java technologies (J2SE 1.7/1.8), Java EE, Servlets, JSP, REST Services,

  • Engineering degree required, Computer Science discipline preferred

  • Strong design and Core Java/J2ee and Javascript skills

  • Experience with cloud native technologies like Kubernetes

  • Cloud Native Technologies and OCI knowledge

  • Excellent analytical skills, professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
