Job Description

This is an engineering position that will involve working on Oracle’s market-leading Session Border Controller (SBC) product. The SBC is deployed across multiple top-tier operators and numerous large and medium enterprises. This position is to specifically support an initiative to develop a cloud-native SBC following an Agile development methodology.

Responsibilities

As a Sr Software Engineer, you are responsible for

• Minimum 6 years of product validation experience in Telecom Products.

• Experience performing functional testing of software across a broad range of next generation IP technologies, including VOIP protocol, internetworking, session replication technologies.

• Building/enhancing automation framework.

• Experience developing and executing test of various components for performance ability, stability, and scale capabilities as well as automating test suites for ongoing testing of products.

• Experience developing standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods, analyzing test results, and recommending corrective actions.

• Create Product validation environment mimicking customer scenarios, and support team for the same. Collaborate with peer teams in issue discussion and reproduction.

• Work independently and Mentor Team where needed.

Skills:

• Experience in Kubernetes and Docker.

• Experience with Robot Framework.

• Experience with VoIP technologies based on SIP protocol.

• Experience with Networking and IP Security Technologies.

• Experience testing highly available/redundant software.

• Experience testing telecommunications software.

• Experience testing a product based on Microservices and cloud native applications design.

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum process.

• Expert in writing Test Plans, Test procedures and Release plans.

• Test Automation experience is required using TCL, Perl, or Python (preferable).

• Product validation expertise with VoIP (SIP), Networking and IP Security Technologies is a must.

• Experience with Linux, Virtualization, Network Administration.

• Experience creating the product test environment independently.

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities targeting complicated problems in remote system.

• Strong communication skills required.

• Strong writing skills required.

• Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.

• Excellent team skills, can-do attitude, focus on quality.
