Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, Oracle APEX, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 3+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Fusion Apps Cloud deployment and Release Management team, your focus is to provide a centralized modern software delivery pipeline for Oracle Cloud Applications. As a Senior Software Engineer, you are expected to be a member of the problem-solving team and be highly skilled in solving complex (often previously unknown), critical issues.

This position is for a technical hands-on role, focused on providing delivery automation services using the latest technology stacks and best practices to maximize the value of Oracle Cloud Applications, from source code onto the cloud.

Skills and Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of related professional experience in software development across the full software life-cycle including design, implementation, testing, operations and maintenance

• Ability to design, develop Oracle APEX based applications and Oracle PL/SQL programming

• Experience Cloud Native application development will be an added advantage

• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

• Experience working in a continuous integration / continuous delivery development environment

• Strong Java programming skills and experience with scripting languages (e.g, Python, Perl)

• Familiar with service-oriented architecture and product development lifecycles (including Microservices)

• Demonstrated knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous deployment, and test suite development and maintenance

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with proven success in contributing in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, working with technical and non-technical peers, as well as management

• Self–motivated and self-driven, continuously learning, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively

• BS/MS (MS preferred) in Computer Science or a related engineering field and 6+ years of experience as a software developer

• Knowledge of Industry standard CI/CD tools for Cloud deployment and Knowledge of AI/ML
