Position Summary
Seeking a Scrum Master/JIRA Administrator to support projects with a focus on Agile project governance. The ideal candidate is to have a strong Agile Delivery experience with the ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams. On a day-to-day basis, this position will be responsible for facilitating the flow of information between the Product and the Technical/ Development teams and championing the adoption of Agile Methodologies and Principles
Position Responsibilities
As a Servant Leader, work with teams and facilitate/participate in all Scrum ceremonies and cross-functional meetings to enable the development team with accurate and relevant information.
Manage all project-related activities in JIRA that meets Agile Project governance.
Maintain and manage projects, boards, workflows, dashboards, permissions on JIRA.
Knowledge of advanced JIRA filters and reporting for project and program level monitoring.
Developing, managing, facilitating, and delivering training on Jira and related agile platforms to Agile teams and stakeholders to continuously advance workflow sophistication, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
Familiarity with Confluence to document processes and create pages to support the Jira and agile workflows.
Work with Product Managers and Technical Managers to enable Planning, Prioritization as well as Decision Making on high-value features and enhancements.
Work with both Internal and External stakeholders actively to resolve impediments or address risk/ concerns raised by the Development teams.
Supports Reporting of team metrics to facilitate the transparent reporting of Team Productivity/ Velocity and other relevant metrics.
Work with internal teams/ stakeholders to help prioritize work that extends across multiple service and application teams and track interdependencies.
Attend meetings and surface any concerns that could derail/ impact delivery across the Program as well as take back potential impacts/ delays to the team.
Provide mentoring and training the team in ensuring the adoption of Agile Practices and Principles.
Ability to act independently in both surfacing and facilitating issue resolutions.
Desired Experience
Must have
Bachelor's degree /MBA Degree and 4 years of product or project development experience, or 3+ years of project development experience on an Agile Team or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques.
Experience managing Multiple distributed teams across different geographic area
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document key decisions, risks and action items.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA)
Experience with software development methodologies and requirements gathering techniques such as Agile (Scrum, AUP, SAFe etc.) and Waterfall is preferred.
Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
Deep Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), and understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
Problem Solving and Conflict resolution skills.
Advanced JIRA admin experience to help maintain and improve Agile Projects monitoring, tracking and Delivery.
3+ Years of Scrum Master Experience working with various Application/ Service/ Dev Ops teams.
Additional Skills
Demonstrated success working in a matrix team structure to drive collaborative outcomes that meet organizational objectives.
Self-motivated with validated personal integrity, judgement and professional maturity and ability to collaborate.
JIRA ADMIN certification/ working experience
Confluence web page design/administration desired
Agile Certifications (Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
PMP /Prince 2 is a plus
