Amazon QA Regional Manager, APAC, AGI Data Services - Quality in Hyderabad, India

Description

The AGI Data Services organization is responsible for procuring data needed for building and validating large-language models. The vision of the AGI-DS Data Quality org is to accurately measure the overall quality and specific utility of every unit of data distributed by the AGI-DS organization to our customers; to root cause the reason that quality and utility are low and propose solutions for how to solve; and to manage quality control relationships with delivery channels.

As the Quality Regional Manager for the APAC region, you will serve as a strategic partner, working closely with the Quality Program and AGI-DS Tech teams to identify patterns and trends in quality output. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing data and feedback from your team members, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing process changes at the AGI-DS level that will contribute to higher quality data for our customers. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of Quality Audit Managers and Quality Specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within AGI-DS to align quality initiatives with business metrics and drive operational excellence throughout the AGI-DS organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Managing a network of Quality Auditors in the APAC region (India, Japan, Jordan) who review the data procured by AGI-DS and assess its quality.

  • Identifying opportunities and implementing changes to improve the accuracy and reduce the turnaround time of quality audits.

  • Collaborating with AGI-DS Quality Program Managers to understand how to effectively quality check new workflows.

  • Partnering with the AGI-DS Tech organization to influence the technical roadmap for annotation and quality control tooling.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of team management experience

  • 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience measuring quality and performing quality control in a software, manufacturing or related industry.
