About the role

Carrier Transicold is looking for a Project Manager to be responsible for organizing embedded software programs and activities for Carrier Transicold Software organization. Candidate will be tasked with developing, delivering programs to support the organization's strategic product development and drive programs for supporting existing products. In order to be successful in this role, candidate will need to have prior experience in both project management. A Bachelor's/Master’s degree is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute embedded software programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the business unit.

  • Align embedded SW development programs priority, release feature definition, release risk assessment and customer communication.

  • Manage dependencies with global teams in embedded software, product management, sustaining and digital.

  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including delivery, quality, safety and productivity.

  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Identify and mitigate risks and remove roadblocks within work streams.

  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.

  • Work with global and local PMO to identify/customize and apply project management processes, methodology and milestones.

  • Proficiently work with agile development methodologies and related project management tools such as Rational Suite, Rally, JIRA etc.

  • Work with peers locally as well as remotely to share & exchange best practices, assets /resources.

  • Proven experience in product development life cycle and stakeholder management skills.

Education Preferred:

  • BE/B Tech/MS/M Tech degree in CSE/ECE streams

  • PMP Certification is an added advantage.

Experience Preferred:

Minimum 12+ years embedded software development and at least 3+ years of project management experience in product-based company .

Requirements:

  • Exposure to process/product management tools such as DOORS, RTC, Windchill etc.

  • Experience in executing passport /stage gate-based development process.

  • Experience of establishing and analyzing metrics and key performance indicators to manage the projects

  • Ability to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and develop and drive appropriate solutions.

  • Experience working cross functionally across multiple global teams and building consensus.

Other Competencies:

  • Understanding of the entire system development process

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.

  • Go getter, result-driven, and works independently with minimal supervision.
