Google Program Manager, Master Data Management in Hyderabad, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 year of experience in technical program or project management.

  • 1 year of experience in master data management.

  • Experience working with datasets.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of master data management principles and best practices.

  • Ability to work comfortably with systems, tools and integrations.

  • Ability to work separately and as part of a team.

  • Excellent investigative, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.

  • Excellent communication and people management skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Master Data Management (MDM) function within the Systems Process Analytics and Data Excellence at Scale (SPADES) team and enables our cross-functional teams by defining, storing, enriching, managing and sharing master data across the enterprise to improve the quality and consistency of information. Our goal is to effectively govern and manage data to improve decision-making, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. We are the central engine that brings people, processes, and systems together to continuously maintain master data integrity and enable products to be launched globally.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data management strategies, ensuring accuracy and consistency of master data in platform and device product area.

  • Manage and maintain master data for all master data domains with primary focus on supporting attributes beyond product master data (e.g., transportation, customer, location).

  • Ensure that the master data is accurate, complete, and consistent across all systems. Work with data owners to identify and resolve data quality issues proactively.

  • Collaborate with other MDM team members to ensure that all master data is managed effectively. Collaborate with data stewards to ensure master data is aligned with business requirements and supports data initiatives.

  • Participate in master data management projects and initiatives.
