Job Description:

As an Automation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join a team of highly skilled software developers who are responsible for the specification, design, testing, maintenance, and implementation of software for life sciences Mass spectrometry instruments and allied products. The software and instruments we develop have a proven track record of making a real and positive impact on people's lives across the globe.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Implement Test Cases/Test scenarios and automate testing for software builds.

• Contribute to the software testing automation strategy and implement time-efficient test solutions.

• Collaborate with global software team members to ensure the delivery of quality software.

• Work on implementing F.A.T protocols on High-end Mass Spectrometry Instruments at our test labs.

• Provide accurate estimates for completing assigned work and ensure the highest quality of software testing.

• Establish and maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all work.

Candidate Educational & Professional Experience Requirement:

• A Bachelors/Master's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience with 1 to 5 years of meaningful experience in testing desktop/cloud applications is required.

Competency Requirements:

• Strong scripting skills in Python/Java/JavaScript (JavaScript preferable).

• Excellent logical approach to automating test cases.

• Hands-on experience with Testing Suites like Test Complete/Selenium (Test Complete preferable).

• Excellent written and interpersonal skills with the ability to review and evaluate code and written materials.

• Familiarity with Test Automation tools (Selenium, UFT/QTP, VS Test Professional, Telerik).

• Exposure to development environments such as GitHub, Version Control, and DevOps, or equivalent experience.

• Experience in testing desktop-based applications.

• Proficient in documenting test results and test setups.

• Familiarity with working on Scientific Instruments and ability to perform manual testing when automation is not feasible.
