About the role

Experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineering professional, working independently. Performs engineering work and applied research, coordinates activities involving the design and development of electronic equipment and devices, and prepares engineering sketches and product information documentation.

  • Coordinates and facilitates the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved.

  • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.

  • Prepares engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems.

  • Prepares documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.

  • Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge in mixed embedded system design (analog and digital) by using 8 bit/16/32bit micro controllers or processors e.g. PICxxx series, TI’s MSPxxx series, ST devices, etc

  • Hands on experience of design different interfaces like external memories, I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, MODBUS, CAN, LCD & touch screen interfaces etc

  • Experience in Wireless Design architectures – Bluetooth, WiFi, Zigbee

  • Experience in Analog design – Opamps, signal conditioning, ADC, DAC and Filter designs

  • Proficiency in Schematic capture tools like Orcad.

  • Proficiency in circuit analysis, circuit simulation using PSpice/Mathcad/Matlab and circuit tolerance analysis is must.

  • High level Experience with PCB layout tools like Allegro/Orcad layout

  • Must be able to support component engineering activities, BoM scrubbing and sustenance tasks related to production boards working closely in tandem with sourcing and Manufacturing

  • Must have experience debugging, troubleshooting embedded systems using emulators, JTAG\BDM debuggers etc

  • Must have experience with version control and defect tracking software

  • Experience in Product reliability – Stress Analysis, DFMEA

  • Product Testing & troubleshooting, EMI\EMC & Compliance testing, PCB Layout design concepts, UL\CE certification

  • Passionate to learn new technologies and tools quickly and work in a highly collaborative team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Team player and drive for results

Requirements

Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience

Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work

University Degree or equivalent

A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
