About the Role:

Carrier is seeking an experienced and motivated DNS Administrator to join the Corporate IT staff to provide DNS support and administration on the enterprise network.

This position will be responsible for the management of the DNS services for the internal and external networks and to e nsure day-to-day service functionality is maintained at the highest quality and levels across all networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of domain registrars, include procurement and transfers of domains.

Management of DNS portals for adding, deleting, and updating object records for IP management.

Implement DDos protection to enhance DNS security.

Implement change control procedures to plan/test/implement infrastructure changes.

Perform troubleshooting and analysis of DNS resolution problems.

Interface with business representatives to optimize DNS strategy.

Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and optimization where possible.

Work with Corporate IT lines of service leads to ensure foundational support for DNS in the areas of network, security, end-user, and collaborative technologies.

Plan, design, implement and manage multiple technology projects to support business requirements.

Required Qualifications

Greater than 7 years of experience in IT and/or IT related field

Must be an DNS SME and must know DNS inside and out

Comprehensive background in managing DNS

Strong experience in the maintenance of all facets of a large/enterprise DNS environment.

Experience with DNS registrars for procuring and transferring domains.

Direct hands-on experience in domain name administration. rich

Strong experience in DNS best practices.

Expertise with DNS administration (BlueCat, Cloudflare, UltraDNS a plus)

Must be able to work in a team environment with a “can do” attitude

Must have excellent writing and communication skills, strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, contractors, managers, 3rd parties, and customers as needed

Proven experience in managing a variety of IT infrastructure projects and in interfacing with business leaders. Ability to lead large, complex projects with cross-business unit project teams and suppliers.

Ability to build and maintain customer relationships, be a team player, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.

Individual must be highly motivated, results-oriented and able to work in fast-paced environment.

Coordinates, designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for cybersecurity platforms

Coordinates the integration of new cyber architectural features into existing infrastructures.

Provides architectural analysis of cybersecurity solutions and relates existing systems to future needs and trends.

Recommends incident response procedures and researches potential network vulnerabilities.

Coordinates identity access management initiatives internally. Participates in internal and external cyber audits.

Education / Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline
