Job Description

As part of application development team, the successful candidate will analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot and debug applications code. Candidate writes code and performs testing and debugging of applications. Builds and executes unit tests and unit test plans. Reviews integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicates with QA/PM to discuss major changes to functionality. In this environment, candidate is expected to analyze problems, suggest and assess multiple alternative solutions, and implement high-quality industry leading software. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/logical skills in area of product specialization.

Ideal candidate will have below skills:

Primary Skills

1. Highly skilled in coding based on Core Java, J2EE technologies.

2. Web Services and APIs using the latest technologies.

3. Should possess excellent algorithms and problem solving skills.

4. Should possess minimum 4-5 years of experience and maximum of 8-12 years of development experience.

5. Oracle database programming (SQL, PL/SQL) experience will be an added advantage.

Secondary Skills

1. Practiced Agile Development and knowledge of Tools such as Confluence/JIRA

2. Good knowledge of current / emerging technologies and trends

3. Good team player willing and able to mentor juniors

The title of the candidate will be determined based on the profile.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
