About the role
Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a Solution Architect Cloud Integration to support this transformative journey. Reporting directly to the Head of Cloud Management Operations, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud management capabilities. As part of the Cloud Management Operations team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure, while supporting and communicating strategic cloud architecture plans. You will work closely with engineering and development teams to assess and determine the best cloud solutions that align with strategic business needs. You will closely collaborate with the team to ensure overall scalability, reliability, and performance.
Key responsibilities include
Develop and implement cloud integration strategies and architectures that align with organizational goals and ensure seamless integration of cloud services with existing on-premises systems and applications
Create and manage integration solutions that address complex business requirements, leveraging cloud technologies and integration platforms to deliver scalable and efficient solutions
Design and implement integration frameworks and patterns, including APIs, microservices, and message queues, to facilitate data exchange and interoperability between systems
Evaluate and recommend cloud integration tools and technologies, staying updated with industry trends and advancements to ensure the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions
Align on standards and architecture practices with the Enterprise Architecture team, closely collaborating with the Enterprise Architect Platforms and ensuring implementation of standards within the platform organization
Monitor and optimize integration performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of cloud integration solutions
Work closely with IT, development, and business teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful integration of cloud services with enterprise applications and data sources, while considering policies, standards, and practices (including security measures)
Create and maintain detailed documentation of integration architectures, designs, and processes, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and implementation guides
Ensure that integration solutions adhere to organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, providing timely support and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Collaborate with the broader Enterprise Architecture community to ensure cohesive cloud architecture strategies across the organization, sharing insights, best practices, and ensuring alignment with overall enterprise architecture standards and frameworks
About you
Degree in IT/technology, computer science, network technology, or a comparable field
Proficient in English
Good knowledge of cloud integration practices, tools, and architecture, as well as the design, development, implementation, and management of highly available and scalable infrastructure
Good Knowledge of IT infrastructures, cloud computing services with Microsoft Azure, and cloud networking ideas and settings
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of cloud-based operational architecture, cloud security, and cloud industry trends and best practices
Independent and self-driven personality, taking responsibility and owning tasks
Possesses good problem-solving skills and a structured way of working
Openness to try and learn new technologies and skills
Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate problems to non-technical audiences
Exhibits a passion for digital technology and innovation, constantly seeking new and creative solutions to enhance processes, decision-making and user experiences
Collaborates well across diverse and globally distributed teams, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across different levels and functions of the organization
Is a true team player, supporting their colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience and commits the teams’ joint success
Possesses good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
Capable of effective communication, conveying complex problems clearly and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders
